Supermarkets are allowed to lock out unvaccinated people! in Hesse

The pressure on the unvaccinated keeps growing and growing! No vaccine No shopping!

In Hesse, all retailers, including the supermarket, can now decide for themselves whether they want to implement the 3G rule (vaccinated, tested, recovered) or the 2G rule – so far there have been no access restrictions in supermarkets to give everyone the option of basic services grant.

2G hammer in Hesse’s supermarkets

Hesse decides

The Hessian State Chancellery confirms that the “2G option model” also applies to the food retail sector.

Means: Even supermarkets are now allowed to lock out those who have not been vaccinated and only allow those who have been vaccinated and recovered to buy food. In extreme cases, unvaccinated people would have to see how they can get their food, send friends or relatives to go shopping – or get vaccinated at all.

Apparently the state government itself knows how dramatic the effects of a 2G regime would be on supermarkets – and hopes that the stores will not implement this.

“We are assuming that this option will only be used on a daily basis and that everyday businesses will not make use of it,” said Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (69, CDU). “But that also means that without 2G, the distance and mask requirements still apply.”

In the culture, gastronomy and event industries, the option of 2G has been around for a long time. And that is even promoted: because those who only allow vaccinated and convalescents into their rooms or shops can dispense with the requirement to keep a mask and wear a mask.

In Hessen, all retailers, including supermarkets, can decide for themselves whether they want to implement the 3G rule (vaccinated, tested, recovered) or the 2G rule

Wider implication

The new corona rules in Hesse also include the fact that in old people’s and nursing homes there is no longer an automatic entry ban for the entire facility in the event of a single case of infection. Instead, individually required protective measures should be taken.

The regulation also provides for stricter regulations: Unvaccinated hospital staff must be tested for the coronavirus twice a week. In schools, the following applies: the mask on at the seat and daily tests immediately after a positive rapid test, for example by a classmate – and not only after confirmation by a more precise PCR test.

With a view to the end of the free corona tests, Bouffier appealed for many citizens to get vaccinated against the virus: Hesse has come through the autumn well so far. “Nevertheless, we must not be careless.” A vaccination offers the greatest protection. “And this is still uncomplicated, unbureaucratic and free to get.”

The red line has been crossed

It was the one red line of the Corona measures: The basic supply must be guaranteed for all people at all times.

Now it is being exceeded.

The Hessian state government has allowed supermarkets to lock out unvaccinated citizens.

The government no longer ensures that all people, vaccinated and unvaccinated, can buy bread, milk and eggs whenever and wherever they want.

And no, this is not a “voluntary decision” by companies to introduce 2G, as politicians claim. It is the state that, with its strict distance, hygiene and mask rules, creates the incentive to switch to 2G.

While other countries are returning to normal, Germany is sharpening it again. That in itself is absurd enough.

But the basic service must not be touched. No measure, not even for the unvaccinated.

The 2G permit for supermarkets has to go – as soon as possible.
