New start in tourism to Bavarian cities
Due to the sharp drop in incidence values, overnight stays for tourists and visits to restaurants and leisure facilities are permitted again.
These provisions apply to overnight stays in hotels, holiday apartments and houses as well as on campsites:
Every guest needs a negative Corona test upon arrival. If the 7-day incidence is 50 and higher, guests also need another negative corona test for every additional 48 hours. Vaccinated and convalescents are exempt from this.
Guests may only be accommodated in a room or a residential unit within the scope of the contact restrictions.
FFP2 mask requirements apply to guests as long as they are not at the table in the restaurant area or in their living unit.
The operator collects the contact details of the guests.
Restaurants and beer gardens are allowed to open in the open air and in closed rooms between 5 a.m. and 1 a.m. if the incidence is less than 100 in the district or in the urban district. General contact restrictions apply at the table. Guests must provide contact details and wear a mask indoors while away from the table.
Pubs and other pure taverns are only allowed to open in the open air.
With an incidence of 50 and more, untested or vaccinated guests from several households need a negative corona test if they come together at one table.
Other tourism offers to Bavarian cities
Cable cars and tourist railways such as the Zugspitzbahn as well as the river and lake navigation of the Bayerische Seenschifffahrt * are in operation. Also city and guided tours, mountain, culture and nature tours are allowed. In closed rooms, vehicle areas and cabins, passengers must wear a mask.
For amusement parks, swimming pools, thermal baths, wellness centers, saunas, solariums, arcades, casinos and betting offices, no more than one visitor per 10 square meters is allowed. With a 7-day incidence of 50 and more, visitors must have a negative corona test. Vaccinated and convalescents are exempt from this.
Up to 1500 spectators are admitted to sports and cultural events in the open air. Of these, a maximum of 200 may be allocated as standing room with a minimum distance, the rest only as fixed seats. As before, indoor approval applies depending on the room capacity, but no more than 1000 people.
Clubs, discos and similar leisure facilities are still closed.
