This is the 1st German federal state to lock out unvaccinated young people!

Now young people will have access to social life ONLY with the 2G rule: Bavaria is thus blocking many young people from enjoying their social life! NO movie theaters, No concerts, No sporting events!

Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder is now locking out even unvaccinated children and young people!

Stricter corona rules are in force in Bavaria with immediate effect – with consequences for children and adolescents: 60 percent of twelve to 17-year-olds are not yet vaccinated and are therefore not allowed to go to the cinema or to play indoor sports. There is sharp criticism of this.

Subject: sports events, cinema, concerts and theater. Without exceptions for children and adolescents from 12 – although they are only extremely rarely endangered by Corona.

Young people face a new reality in Bavaria!

That contradicts the recommendations of the Standing Vaccination Commission, which had made it clear that vaccination should NOT be a prerequisite for children’s social participation!

But the pressure on unvaccinated people keeps increasing. Low point: Weltärzte CEO Frank Ulrich Montgomery even spoke in the ARD talk “Anne Will” of a “tyranny of the unvaccinated” that would rule over vaccinated people.

SPD health politician Karl Lauterbach tweeted: “We need 2G quickly, nationwide and with regular strict controls and penalties.”

FDP warns of sporting, cultural and social impoverishment

“You should have paid attention to it.” It is completely unacceptable that, of all people, the children and adolescents who had to cope with so many disadvantages in the past year and a half should again suffer. In response to a BR request, Sandt also spoke of a “leisure lockdown” for children and young people: “It is a sporting, cultural and social impoverishment.”

Saxony is the template for these changes

The template: Saxony. There, Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer introduced the 2G regulation across the board. BUT: The regulation not only divides. It is also controversial whether it is the right remedy for the pandemic!

Prof. Detlev Krüger, until 2016 chief virologist at the Berlin Charité, on BILD: Since people who have been vaccinated could also be infected and pass on the virus, “2G only means more lack of freedom without offering more security”. The top virologist says: “That is why testing continues to be important.”

2G rule in Bavarian clubs and discos

Young unvaccinated people will no longer have access to clubs and discos. rules. Unsurprisingly, they will be even stricter than before. In view of the increasing corona numbers, this is necessary, Markus Söder justified the step. The rules will take effect from Saturday, November 6th.

2G: “Leisure time lockdown” for Bavaria’s children and young people?

After the hospital traffic light in Bavaria had switched to red and the corona restrictions were tightened, 2G now applies to many areas of public life in Bavaria:

▶ Only those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered have access. A tightening that affects 12 to 17 year olds more than average. Because in no age group is the vaccination quota in Bavaria as low as in this – according to the Robert Koch Institute, only 40 percent are fully vaccinated there.

That means: 60 percent of children and adolescents aged twelve and over will have to stay outside in many places from now on. For comparison: More than 75 percent of Bavarian adults are vaccinated – the aggravation affects less than a quarter of them.

In principle, everything is only open to children under twelve

In the Bavarian Corona Ordinance, a fundamental distinction is made between children under the age of twelve and those aged twelve and over. No corona vaccine has yet been approved for younger people in Germany. You are exempt from the 2G rule in Bavaria.

For twelve to 17-year-olds, for whom the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) has had a general vaccination recommendation since late summer, the same 2G restrictions apply in Bavaria as for adults.

This means: Unvaccinated people will be denied access to many cultural, sports and leisure activities in the near future. This applies to fitness studios and sports facilities, theaters, cinemas and museums, zoos, baths, solariums and cable cars. For the time being, even twelve-year-olds without proof of vaccination or convalescence cannot use any of these offers – although they are tested three times a week at school.

Furthermore, children and young people from the age of twelve are only allowed to visit cafes, restaurants and hotels, where 3G plus is now valid, as well as libraries (3G) on presentation of their student ID. No access restrictions apply to shops and public transport.
